Hiya! I’m Madeline Alford, a Brooklyn-based style and travel blogger. Thanks for stopping by my corner of the Internet.
As a former editor at Lucky magazine turned event producer, The Postscript is my creative outlet. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma I moved to New York with no job (and no apartment either!) looking to break into the magazine industry. Writing for LuckyShops.com was my dream job, until I realized that marketing and events were more my jam.
Writing will always be my passion, however, so this space is my way of expressing that—whether it’s a travel itinerary of Venice, my favorite book of the month (hint: it’s probably going to be a mystery/thriller) or a roundup of summer wedding dresses.
Speaking of style, everything you find here will most likely fall under $200. I’m in my 20s and live in New York, so as much as I love designer pieces that’s frankly not what I can afford. I’ll do my very best to always feature items that are more budget-friendly. Anything over $200 is definitely a rare splurge in my opinion!
Me personally? I live in Fort Greene with my husband Zach, and spend most of my time reading, cooking and planning my next trip. Want to talk about cats, true crime, BBQ or something equally random? Shoot me an email here.
xx,
Madeline
